TDU2 hacking [PS3]

Hello,

I came to this form to seek help on some things. I know you guys are mostly PC modders but may have some experience with hex editors. I recently figured out how to mod TDU2 for PS3 which can be seen here; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnv0gTnJu8Ywith me showing the PS3 xmb as proof. I figured out how to paint unpaintable cars and various other things. I looked in the knowledge guide and it shows that grip can be modified as well as parts of the car. I want to be the first to bring these things to PS3. The save data files are nearly Identical and I just need help pinpointing stuff I can't find in the hex editor. MOVED - this is more like an discussion than request.

i remember checking into tdu2 on ps3, but on some reasons i dropped the project, i really can't remember why.
to start with, i guess you don't have cracked version of tdu2? i could run few tests, but i need a version i can run on jailbroken ps3. its extremely difficult to say anything without having the files and examples to look at.

That said, I put it to download, but torrent is not so good, not sure how long it will take. if you have a copy of it, maybe you can upload it ? (i would give you FTP where you can put it)
EDIT: nvm, torrent seem to be ok, getting 300 - 1200kb/s speeds now, should be done within 12h, then it's time to pull out my ps3.

Well im not on CFW, im on OFW. There were programs released that allowed the PS3 save data to be decrypted.. I just need a little help from someone experienced with TDU2. Shoot me a friend request on PSN. My name is Aaron1795

How about posting more details?
and we don't "shoot" any invites anywhere, discussions are meant to be kept on forum! so others with same question can read ... i don't understand the logic behind this, idea of forum is to post it out, so thousands of other people with same question can read too.

anyway i got tdu2 downloaded, but haven't installed it yet. might do that tomorrow.

Use this program http://www.ps3hax.net/2013/04/released- ... -data-3-8/. It is used to decrypt the save file. Then you have to encrypt again after you edit in the hex editor. I really want to start something big on TDU2 ps3 so im looking for more help to expand past just car colors, and hidden cars. I want to be able to do rim swaps, handling mods, and other cool stuff that was found for xbox.

P.S. You don't have to resign your save like xbox360.

I can't even find the download there, those websites are so confusing, they never allow downloads with simple click, they always have to go thru some crap.
that said, where do you download it? if you have it, attach to the topic.

I haven't installed it on ps3 yet tho.

I just got it installed on PS3 ... that tutorial mission is annoying me atm, you see this is WHY i don't ever play on consoles, i can't even remap the buttons and i CANT drive with those idiot should buttons as acc/brake, its most idiotic way of driving.

so anyway, just updating the topic to tell everyone that i haven't forgot about this.

Did you figure out how to edit the grip...?
I'm currently trying to figure out how to edit the player's saved position... any idea on how i'd do that?

I have two decrypted DATA files from two saves...

THEORY - The structure of the DATA files is as follows.
1. File header (XMBF..)

2. List of array definitions, IN ORDER, and in readable format (ARRAY_OF_Car), and each array definition is separated by "." ("00" hexadecimal)

3. I'm not sure what this is:
w.x.y.z.AAAAA......
(hexadecimal 77 00 78 00 79 00 7A 00 41 41 41 41 41 00 00 00 00 00 00)
But I think it's telling the game that "this is the beginning of the actual data, read this."

4. This is the data, separated by arrays, as stated above.
Composition of first few bytes:
.2..€.......€..
(12 32 00 00 80 01 00 00 03 16 00 00 80 02 00)
Each instance of "00" is like an "end > start", it just states one array of data.
One array of data example - 00 99 99 00
next array of data - 0070 55 00
and so on.

I'm going to go load up TDU2 and try to match the money array to the definition, then go from there.

It looks like the 22nd array of bytes should be the players location, being that "ARRAY_Of_position" is the 22nd item on the list in the DATA file... After all of the arrays are defined, all of the big-endian data is displayed; each array is separated by "00 00" (hexadecimal).
i.e.

Any clue on this/any help you can give?

i haven't really got to this, i first have to play thru the tutorial part and im having issues with those gay fucking controls on ps3, i cant race with those idiotic settings, so i couldn't bother, but its still in my "to do list". gonna try to check at some point.
