well bored i guess, anyways what's this about ?
i got 990kb/s download speed from torrent. not good ?
now consider the following:
..with closed ports
..using wireless
..using free wireless (WEP that i cracked)

screenshot says 900, because i did not cought the right moment when it was 990 :( ...i never got over 1.2mb with my 12mbit internet from torrent btw, yes thats right, back then i had open ports and my own ISP (12mbit dsl) 1.2mb was only for DiRT official demo, on other cases i rarely got near 900kb/s from torrent.

got 1mb out of it :) 1005kb/s .. added new screen too.

im not sure if the limit is antenna or the AP, maybe if i move antenna closer, it would be faster, but with closed ports its rare speed, only good torrents get such speed, even the speedtest did not got over 700-800, so i can't even bother with antenna positioning.

try changing options if you talkin about torrents and use only uTorrent also make sure ports are open or upnp is enabled in torrent and router/modem.
hehe i guess wireless wasn't enought for me, lately i stole/hacked myself a DSL line account.

it's a good speed, but you are on landline i assume, fact that my speed was amazing, is that it was a cracked wireless network with closed ports.
overall about speeds, if i get 1mb/s im quite fine, i don't really need faster. it is enought to get anything you want in 1 day, there ain't many torrents out there anyways that reach speeds over 1mb/s.
WWE torrents always have super speeds, because there are lot of seeders who have amazing upload speeds.

no no i have a dsl and before my speed was just 25 kb/s but after few tricks which logically r not possible,i got amazing speed.....and the best thing about it is speed increases with increase in time elapsed....

ofcourse, this is how torrents work, longer you keep it open, the better peers it finds. open ports are not very important, but it increases speeds on poor torrents.
some ppl do not understand that torrent is not a static connection, sometimes it's fast sometimes slow, depending on the availabel pieces and uploaders. end is always slow, because uTorrent prefers to download pieces that are most easily aquireable, don't know about other torrent programs.
