Mass Effect - credits, xp ..etc hacks

tried to hack it with a memory editor. its very easy (considering that its new game)
simply open the game with memory editor and search whtever you want to change.
I made a video tutorial on how to change credits and experience.
i needed only 1 search (you need more if you have lower values)
i had over 404200 credits and over 52000xp.
anyways there's a small thing you should know about.
once you have found credits then its easier to find xp, beginning of address is same as the credits, so you can find it by that, because xp has like 7 addresses and they all change when xp changes, but only one is correct (the one that has same address beginning with credits)
oh yes and, once you have changed your exp and it successfully changed in your game, then it wont give you any skill points to spend, but that can be fixed real easy. simply earn some exp and then the effect kicks in. you can talk to somebody to get some exp. doesnt matter how much you get, after you change exp and then gain some exp it will change what it should be and gives you that many skill points too.
for example i had something like 55233xp and change it to 85233 (dont member exact values). so then i simply talked to Ashley on ship and gained 64xp, but when i paused i got level 35 and +10 skill points (instead of 1lvl and 2 points).

I will try to change weapon damage and stuff like that too and see what happens.
i already tried to directly find the skill points, but that didnt work on some reaosn.

I also found a way to use in-game cheats.
you have to activate the console first.
here's how you can do that.

1. Go to ''C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_user_name\My Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect\Config''
-note that the path MAY differ (depending wht OS you are using).
2. open the file called ''BIOInput.ini'' with text editor
3. find the line

4. under that (under other commands there) type

-where 'x' is the key you want to use for console. note that it should be unused key ! Tilde (~) didn't work for me. Tilde is the default key for console in most games so i tried to use it, but didnt work. so i used ' this. its a apostrophe (located between enter and backspace on my keyboard. well you can use any button you want i think. i suggest using something near enter if tilde doesnt work.
5. run the game and once in main menu press your console key, if it brings up console you did everything right, if not then you probably assigned wrong button which doesnt work (simply try another key).
-NOTE you have to exit game and then change the file.
-also note that game may say that ''game has been compromise, plz reinstall'' or something like that. ignore that and run game again. if it still doesnt work run game directly from .exe (located in Binaries folder).

ok once you get the console up you can start using cheats. here's the list of cheats you can use.

You can also modify ''BioGame.ini'' file in the config folder. There you can find resistance to attacks, get instant power recharge and such. not going to discuss that file here, unless somebody asks about it.

any chance to effect on enemys also? like increase their stuffs? like hp,damage,speed

well its possible, but not that easy. never tried anything like it. and i deleted the game. for 2008 game it sure does suck a lot (its good game, but too many glitches and bugs).
oh yes and i should add that you CAN change the exp points.
its easy:
1. gain some exp points
2. search the value on 1byte
3. spend point and go out of the menu (into game)
4. go back into the char menu and then search the new value
5. repeat it until you find the right address.
-NOTE - you have to EXIT the menu before searching next or else the actual value doesnt change.

Aww... kinda shame i know in 1 game called Cold fear u can change Almost everything since its all in txt files, gues il skip this game =/
