Assetto Corsa

Assetto Corsa is one of the racing games on the rise ( its current status is RC, which means the game won't change much until the final version ).

Here's a summary of how the game's internals work when joining a race :

[*] the player is allowed to load a specific setup for the chosen car ( the setup itself is plain text file )
[*] the game engine performs a setup validation ( setup values -- ride height, suspension geometry, gears ratios ... -- are verified in order to make sure that they are within the tolerated limits for the current car
[*] once validated, the player is allowed to take part to the race

The setup validation step is one of the game features which the developpers integrated in order to prevent players from loading invalid setups and gain an advantage in online sessions.

Possible weakness

Most of the game mechanics are computed on the client side based on the client parameters, and the set validation prevents players from abusing the game engine.

If there was a way to trick the game and shortcut the setup validation step ( i.e : returning true despite having loaded a setup with impossible values for the car ), it would then be quite easy to gain an advantage :)

Just a tought about a possible way to cheat in the game without having to build a complex cheat.

this is normal for every game, every game checks files before online races.
these kind of hacks are made by using memory tools, i have only played it once and didn't really like it + it's not full release. i don't like hacking betas, they change too often.

if you want to try and hack it, use memory tools and just search the values, change them while being in a race. simple as that.
follow my hacking tutorials on youtube if you don't know how to find stuff, do pointer scans ..etc.
Plain text files makes it easiest ever.
