This topic is about Alfa AWUS036NHR Adapter and how it works with linux.
latest backtrack5 has drivers for it, however it seem to be acting weird.

i tried using reaver, but i get some unusual results:

Code: Select all

root@bt:~# reaver -b 04:C0:6F:xx:xx:xx -vv -d 30 -S -x 9 -i mon0 -w

Reaver v1.4 WiFi Protected Setup Attack Tool

i will check into this deeper, i don't think its the signal, because of those spammed results, it keeps spamming one thing over and over again.

It happens to me a lot of times to i get error code 0x03 mostly, it seems like there are different kinds of WPS, for some access points it works fine but for most i just get the 0x03 shit.

Using acer5742g inbuilt network card with bt5r3. (livecd)

Legu you have absolutely no idea why i even posted this here, it has NOTHING to do with 0x03 error code.
and there are definetly no different kinds of WPS

Well i thought that ur drivers dont work properly, therefor u get those error msgs. If it is not the case, im curious why it doesnt work.

yes obviously it is driver issue, but you started talking about WPS being different, which is not the case.
I have seen stations that report WPS enabled, while it isnt, but that is just false positive, nothing more.
