i think there's 60000 character limit. before posting, copy it into your notepad or something in case it doesn't go thru or something.
to make things easier and shorter, you can use code brackets. look above the text area where you see "Code" button. highlight your text you want to be shown as code and click it.
it can be useful to post long sections without making it look long, it will go into a scrolling box. i use that for car data and such.

if you want, you can write a .txt or .pdf format tutorial and i can upload it, then i can link to it in my first post (with credits ofc). like a complete tutorial/guide on what you know ..etc. just suggestion if you want.

Ok, I'll see how I go. I really want it to be in searchable text so that people can find it more easily. What happens if I go over 60000 characters? Truncation or server meltdown? :P

What do you mean by 'hardcore' data?

I want to copy the parameters from hardcore mode to put in TDU_CarPhysicsData. Its more realistic.

what exactly seem to be the problem ? you don't know where hardcore settings are located ?
if thats the case, then i don't either :)
i assume it is not different settings, its just 'mode' which will reduce grip and such, but i have no idea where its located. or how it works.
i suggest you to decrypt database and then open them all in notepad++ (NOT notepad, but notepad++), then search all open files for 'hardcore'
thats only idea i have atm.

Yeah! I will search for this, and if I find something I post here.
I looking for a better physics mod for a long time. It will be great if I can find something.

you can always change tyregrip and such, but there will be problem. all challenges will be either impossible or extremely hard, because im quite sure that A.I. vehicles have no effect and also time based challenges.

yeah, would be nice if you post it when you find it, maybe ill check into it too.

Hi Sambo! Wasn't me who created the Police car mod. I think the Ford Maverick has so many fans xD

And indeed it is right Sethioz. The AI will not be affected by the changes. I think my problem will be solved by downloading some IGE race files for hardcore mode. Or edit the original IGE files to enable in hardcore mode.

Thanks for help!

Cool, just checking : )

I guess you could just play in hard-core mode and adjust the parameters from there...

umm not sure what you mean with this. however it seems more like modding, so if you up for it, you could post about that in Games > Mods and Editing.
I guess you could just play in hard-core mode and adjust the parameters from there...
what parameters you mean exactly ?

also about this police mod, if its available somewhere, isnt it easier to download it and then extract the whole thing to see what it replaces or changes ?
as you ppl may know, im not much into modding myself.

NOTE: if you guys feel like talking about tdu modding, then plz make new topic into "Games > Mods and Editing"
stuff about police mod and such. maybe a modding tutorial from Sambo :)

eem confused, there's a video tutorial about it.
it is very hard to explain if you do not know what you are doing. you just change it back, if you replaced comma with new line.

Made the motorcycle MV Augusta Tamburini go to 722 km/h and again pretty drivable but with one exception: at straight and constant acceleration it tends to flip over.

Haha, that's pretty funny.

Have you tried increasing the downforce on the bike? You could also try playing with the front/rear weight distribution, but that could result in some.... interesting... handling characteristics...

Re: Test Drive unlimited - handling editor / editing / hack

by Sethioz
what are you using as controls ? if you use keyboard, then its normal.
with analog controller you can adjust your balance just the way you want or just apply less than 100% acceleration.

ofcourse as Sambo said, try the downforce and weight balance, it would be better if it can drive on max acceleration and not flip over.

960 km/h(motorcycle) with a lot of problems in driving. I use keyboard and played a lot with down-force weight balance and other characteristics but when increasing the power is a bit difficult for the motorcycle to find an proper balance : when the acceleration is high it tends to flip backward(less when the down-force is high) , when the speed is high and still accelerating it tends to flip forward(the result of high down-force), the characteristics are strong related between them. I'm done for today with tdu. Hope my english was good.

hmm makes sense, but again, keyboard is very, very bad control for such game.
in my demonstration videos, you can clearly see that i had some acceleration problems too, when i hit too much, then RPM got stuck on maximum, so i had to apply acceleration carefully in order to prevent it.

ugh i still haven't tested downforce on my KITT version, i have really bad place for steering wheel and it is surely no motivation.
however with your bike, if you like the game, then buy yourself analog controller (steering wheel is not much use with bikes). then you can give it insane acceleration and leave the downforce as it should be. well not default, but increase both, front and rear. so with analog you can carefully accelerate to prevent the flipping and once you are like 300km/h or more, then you can use 100% acc.

Another option is to reduce the coefficient drag to nothing and then reduce the power, this may help you get to the high speeds you're wanting without having to have too much power.

i haven't tried it yet, but you can edit the physics directly in memory with a memory editor/scanner (like Tsearch).
i have some tutorials under game hacking (sticky topics, read them, if you dont know how).
you can use PM on site (not on forum).

Hey sethioz I used your awesome tutorial but im stuck with something.
do you know how to get a higher redline because I'f changed the redline but it wont get higher then 8336 rpm(i filled in "14500")

if modded the alfa brera
{Power_bhp} i (550)
{Power_RPM} i (11500)
{Torque_Nm} i (999)
{Torque_RPM} i (13500)
{Red_Line} i (14500)

any help is usefull :-)

P.S. Sorry if i spelled wrong im Dutch :-P

worked for me. remember what i said about filesize. it has to be same or it wont work. if you add 1 digit, then you have to remove 1 digit from somewhere else. like price or something.

In addition to what Sethoz said, there are also a number of things which will 'limit' your RPMs. At high speed in top gear you may find that drag (or the 1000km/hr game engine limit) is the reason why your RPMs don't increase anymore, however, if you also have the RPM issue in neutral, it may just be the RPM gauge which is 'limiting' your RPM. If you take off in first or second gear, get to your rpm 'limit' and then continue to accelerate, you may notice that your speed continues to increase, even though it might sound like you aren't speeding up and the RPM gauge isn't moving anymore. If this is the case then it is obviously just the gauge that is making it appear that there's an RPM limit.

If this is the case, there is a way to edit the gauge file to enable it to display higher RPMs, however, this isn't without it's issues. It's better to find an RPM / Speed gauge from another vehicle which will display an RPM value high enough for what you want to go to. In your case you'll probably find that the Motorbike gauges are the only ones which will go to 14500RPM.

FYI, just adjusted Veyron acceleration and top speed for v1.2 of the Veyron model, which also resolved the 'stuck revs' issue! (Veyron now at v2.2).

Hey Sethioz, long time no speak :) Sorry, I tried to PM you but got a nasty error!

I've been thinking about my TDU physics mod post. We discussed converting it to a stand-alone document, but I'm updating it fairly regularly so this would be a pain. Do you reckon it's worth putting a link to my post in your initial post on that thread? That way people are alerted to it's presence and I can keep updating it easily.

FYI, TDU-C have finally conceded and now allow physics mods :D

have you seen a trainer that does fake H mode?

Other will see the H mode but it is fake you are infact in normal mode ;)

I had this trainer a few years ago but i dont remember where it is on my hard drives.

Have you got that hack? or do you know how to hack your file to give fake H mode?

A friend of mine used OllyDbg 2.0 to bypass H mode check it was a lot of fun running around pretending to be in Hardcore mode.

hmm havent even heard of fake H mode. i completed the game and got H mode unlocked. what if you change the value for it ? or text.
im not so good with finding instructions with olly. like to make it jump over the instruction where it goes to H mode, but make game show its H mode.

if there's any trainers that do this, you might find them on gamecopyworld.com, usually they list all trainers they can find.
Racer_S on tocaedit.com has a trainer too, but its only for driving. its awesome trainer, it gives you some cool things, like turboboost (jump), superspeed, jump forward (to get past barriers, to get to airport for example).

as a notice, i dont have TDU anymore and not getting it back either, because TDU 2 is coming out real soon.
