if it does not show the value and you have no idea what the value might be, then use unknown search.
as usual i will point you to the Basic Game Hacking Tutorial
try it on 4 bytes first and make sure your Tsearch searches in whole memory (read in tutorial)

no you do unknown search as explained in tutorial...then based on what happens in game you do next search (increased, decreased, changed, not changed ..etc) < read tutorial, there is no point to double post it.

Here is what I have so far for Sims 3. I am a new to this so please, no flaming.

1. Simoleans - can be found using the 4 Byte search, just search for whatever the value indicates such as $10,000 simoleons, you would search for 10000 in the search area.
2. Lifetime Reward Points (LRP) - can be found using the float search type, since it is not an exact number you have to search for a few numbers behind the current one and after the current number. Explanation - If you have 156 LRP then you will select float, then value between... In the first box you put 154 and second box will be 157. Do this repeatedly until you find the correct floating variable. Freeze this and see if it works, should work about 2 or 3 tries.
3. Needs - can be found by using the float search. This is a little more tricky as you have to first search for unknown value. Then play the game a little more to decrease/increase value, then search accordingly. The maximum value for all needs is 100. If your sim keeps doing the activity they are currently doing, then the bar should not go anywhere, this is when you search for 100.
4. Work Performance - can be found using the float search. Same concept for #3 goes here too. Just search with float and decrease/increase value.
5. Skills - can be found the same way as #3 and #4.

This is all I have found out at this time. Thank you for reading. Btw, Sethioz you rule man, I have learned a lot from your tutorials and my own experience. Thanks a bunch man.

just small correction about number 3. it is very hard to get it on 100 exactly. so i suggest you to get it full and do range from like 98 to 100. that way you eliminate the chance of getting false. for example if value is not 100, but 99. if its float, then it could be like 99.9 too.
however if it works with 100, then its all fine.
