Dear Seth:
I tried to hack into one of my accounts on Evony in hopes of editing fields like hero level, prestige, resources etc. I read your previous post as well as tutorials on your Knowledge Database. Here is what i did but was unable to achieve results:
1. Cheat engine, Moonlight as well as Kiki don't work since they modify only the client side whereas Evony data is saved on the server. Every time i make a change say for example to the resources, it switches back to it's previous form.
2. I tried WPE Pro. I recorded an increase in hero level then tried to resend the "Sent" packets, it would return "Insufficient experience". I tried sending the received packets though it wouldn't show any change probably because it's not programmed to accept them. Received packets were different from sent packets in structure. Even tried modifying the hex code.
Currently I'm trying to find a loophole by tracking the source of the above attributes (prestige, resources etc) but so far it seems hopeless. I'll appreciate if you can provide some advice into this. I wouldn't have asked if I hadn't experimented it myself first, thank you.

Re: Tried hacking MMO - Evony
pay attention to where you post. MMO hacking has already been discussed:
MMO hacking
everything is explained in that topic, in short, it cannot be done. since as you said, its server sided.
WPE pro and memory editor have exactly same effect, only difference is that some things are a lot easier to find in a packet than game's memory.
for example if game sends value of 5, you can intercept and change that value either by editing it directly in memory, so game sends out 100 or you can use packet interceptor (like wpe pro), intercept the packet containing 5 and change to 100, so result is ever the same = server gets value of 100.
its possible to make such hacks, but only be "fooling" the protocol / system, not by directly changing it.
good example is AvP2 (read the hack thread). where it was possible to get god mode, by changing "fall damage" to negative, so when you fell, instead of decreasing health, it increased. so in other words, server actually gave you health.
