Intex Subwoofer- No Bass Effect Problem [solved]

Post by KEN »

Now today morning turned my pc on and my subwoofer is not giving any BASS effect.
It gives BASS effect for a few seconds if i blow some air through port(the hole in front of woofer).I m blowing air through my mouth :P
It itself sometimes starts to give effect and sometimes itself stops.Even when its giving BASS effect, its low than it used to give before.what may hav caused it and solutions if any?

moved it, more like hardware discussion.

first of, make sure in basics that all wires are connected. most likely its broken wire inside, probably very close to "speaker" itself.
just open it and see ..

opened it in morning and wires r all right i think.
there was lot of dust in it,i cleaned it up and it worked nice for 30 minutes, then it again went back to no bass effect. So i opened it again and 1 thing is,when i keep it opened it seems to b giving bass effect O.o but low.....i hav it closed it now and its sometimes working fine then in middle goes back randomly. Also when it gives bass effect speaker goes nutz like making strange noise, like "zrrrrr" i can record an audio of it if u want.Even if dont seem that wire is loose or broken its most likely wiring problem itself but if someone know of something else, plz do tell.

ofcourse its wires, check ALL wires, not just woofer wires. it might be connection from pc or simply a broken wire that you cant see.
find the proble first, turn it on and start going thru wires, move them and twist them lil bit and see if you can replicate the effect. go thru all wires for all speakers, from pc to speaker/s. do this with every wire that has something to do with sound.
it also might be software, some drivers that go nutz. seen this too.
you have to test and see if you can replicate this problem yourself.

found it.It was right speaker's wire not woofer's.....whenever i touched it or moved it,it toggled bass :O
so i fixed it in one position now so its not moving, now bass is working nicely :)
i never knew that even speaker's wire could cause bass to go nutz,i always thought it would b something inside the woofer.....this is new thing i learned today :D

i didnt think either that its other speaker's wire, but since pc speakers work bit differently than a normal music center, radio ..etc. for example some speakers are 2.1, which means you connect only ONE jack into pc, so it means subwoofer is powered from the left and/or right speaker/s. i suspected that it might have something to do with it, cuz i didnt know what speakers you have exactly. also for example if you have amplifier and one of the inputs has bad connection, then it may interfere with whole system.
even tho connection and repairing audio might sound easy, it isnt. thickness of wires, connector type ..etc everything matters.

since its solved, CLOSED
