Re: Utorrent
how can this affect utorrent network ? or you mean that it is some local lan that monitors what you are doing ?but in South africa i got this thing call a WUG and its basicly 1 big lan
because there is no way how it can have anything to do with utorrent. some sites does this, some private torrent sites, but not countrys. if it is your ISP, then simply enable encryption for utorrent.
you can fool utorrent, but if its some "WUG" then it is no use, whatever you do, they have to monitor the actual bandwitdh.
can you download faster from web and ftp servers ? sounds crap to me, im sure you are missing something.
how they know if you are using torrent or site ?! if they monitor bandwitdh, only way would be to hack into your ISP
Re: Utorrent
well i dont know how they would make your speed slower and there is basicly no isp it just a lan basicly more complicated though how would i encrypted utorrent???

Re: Utorrent
well i cant really help if i don't know how it works. there has to be ISP.
unless you don't know, ISP = internet service provider. this is how you connect to internet.
1. are you talking about some private torrents or any ?
2. find out more about this big LAN.
- even if its big lan, there's still ISP that connects you to internet.
you can probably use memory tools to change upload speed and fake the utorrent, but it wont help, im sure of it.
im not sure there is something you can, but i would be interested to see this "LAN". if you can bother, get "commview" (use torrents to get cracked version) and capture some packets, then put them into .rar and upload here.
since you are recording your network, do not log into any places or don't use any other sensitive information. also don't use massive thigns like torrent while capturing. just go to internet and load my site for example. then just leave it for 1 min.
if you don't know how to use commview, then here's a small tutorial:
CommView - how to use - capturing and resending the packets
NOTE that if you recording, then it will record EVERYTHING, even your msn chating. so its best if you just quit all applications before capturing some packets, just run your browser once and go to my site. also don't get too many packets. 1000-2000 is more than enought.
its the idle state what im interested in, where and what sends the "keep alive" requests and such.

Re: Utorrent
no no no its a LAN with no internet they use there own trackers and you cant connect to internet its basicly like connecting to a wireless router and downloading through WAN but we use antennas to connect to highsites which connect us to each other

Re: Utorrent
ohh now you talking some sense.
so you ppl are like sharing local files only ? still it has nothing to do with utorrent then, why not just upload ? if there's no internet, then it doesnt matter. just upload as much as you can then.
im sure it has nothing to do with torrent client, but the actual speed. you can try setting upload on 0 (no limit) and then use some kind of a beerblocker that blocks the incoming requests, so you don't actually upload at all.
somehow i doubt it works, because they check the actual speed i think, but worth trying.

Re: Utorrent
i will most likely move this to hacking, but first some info.
where can you see how much they have uploaded ? is it a site or some local stuff ?
in this case, you want to fool the counter, that might be easier.

Re: Utorrent
well its not a internet site its only local WUG users
But you do go to internet explorer to get there to the site that has your stats

Re: Utorrent
so its local internet ?
for example im able to host internet sites in my pc too, using different software.
there might be a way, need to do more research on how torrent sites collect your info, because for example if i would download a torrent from demonoid (private torrent site) and send it to you, then my account would get stats updated. im guessing it adds something to torrent when you download using your account.

Re: Utorrent
no its not internet at all all it is is someone hosting a site on a lan connecting think FTP like a lan but they put there trackers so that utorrent would work
Like this is what the site is called http://172.25.5.115/ but only ppl with WUG (Wireless user group) can use it

Re: Utorrent
well basically it is local internet. i got the idea right.
im busy with other projects and annoyed too, but google for "how does torrent tracker work" or something similiar. if you can find basics on how torrent sites track how much you upload/download, then i might find a way to fool the site. or capture some packets and investigate them.
im quite sure it is related to torrent you download, not to your ip or computer.
