Universal game crack or just crazy idea ?

it just popped in my mind right now !
i was looking at steam and then pop. but first, few other things.
for example if you buy a game, something that uses some good protection, some securom or other dvd check based stuff. when you make copy of the dvd, it will still not work. there's methods to emulate some stuff with Daemon (and other tools like it), but most likely new games will not work.
Now, if you download such game/s from steam (legally buy them), then they start without any dvd at all. huh ? i was thinking that, isn't it just possible to emulate steam instead ? it would be kind a universal crack, because as far as i know, you can buy pretty much every game from steam now days.
im not much of a reverse engineer, but i could take a look in it with olly or something.

alternative method is to use some kind of steam patch (crack) that makes all games downloadable from steam (something like undead patch), but last time i tested, it was quite bugged and did not let you download most of them, but it would work if you already have game files.

my idea is just to make universal crack based on steam. im guessing it uses cd-key/serial (not in single player ?!), but there's always keygens or you can get them from some torrent sites.
it is just the idea that you would only need one universal program to run all games, you just download clone dvd from torrent sites and thats all you need, then you would run your universal crack and voilaa.

but note that i do not have any details about steam or how it actually works, it is just my theory..and well in theory it should work just fine. so plz leave your comments and opinions (maybe im just crazy hehe).

Undeadpatch is the best attempt at getting free games.
Patches the clients functions to check if u got a game or not, the checks to see if you really own the games are done the steam servers where you download it from. games with singleplayer only(not sure if they gotta be non valve or not) can be downloaded, but games with multiplayer that run over the steam network cant.

i maybe crazy, but not stupid ofcourse i mean only singleplayer. getting a free multiplayer game would mean that you need to hack into game developer's servers and validate your game there or do what i do and steal some steams :)
also steambuster lets you play games without steam, but as far as i know, it only works with .gcf based games.
but im talking about non-steam games, for example Cobra 11 Crashtime 2 (burning wheels). it is SP only and totally non-steam, however it still can be downloaded thru steam.
when you go into the cobra11 folder and try to run it, then it will run steam instead and wants you to login.

no you are missing my point. undeath patch and steambuster..etc are crap. they go over the steam and there is high risk that your account gets disabled if you accidently use your real account with those patches. i don't want to install and uninstall patch every time i wanna play either legal steam game or cracked game.

my idea was to make universal crack, not download, which has nothing to do with steam. it only verifies the game and allows you to run it without an actual crack.exe or steam.
i play svencoop very often on steam and its retarded if i have to uninstall the patch each time i wanna play it, and if i accidently forget it (or forget some files in steam), then most likely i get my account disabled for it.

If there's anything that would let you get free games through steam it surely ain't gonna get public, ever! I mean c'mon, think about it, if it got public it would be patched overnight, so.... Undead patch is just a joke.

actually it is not a joke. undead patch works just perfectly.
only problem is that steam keeps patching the download. however my idea was not to download them thru steam, but to use it as a universal crack, which actually works.
but again..undead patch patches steam client, so its no good for me.
my idea was to make a universal crack for all games that are available thru steam.
there is something in steam client that tells the game that it is legal to run it.
so if you patch your steam with undead patch and have game, then you can run the game without any kind of crack.
