Hello there i was wondering about this whole anonymous debate. Is it really possible to crash servers with programs like LOIC?
Also is it possible to make servers lag with cmd, if its a P2P connection ? (ping xxx.xxx.xx.xxx -t -l 1472)
All the upon mentioned questions are only for educational reasons.

pay attention where you post. i don't see you discussing software, you are discussing on how to crash / overload somebody's machine. server or pc, same.

never heard about LOIC. DDoS attack is something that you can't prevent (Distributed Denial of Service). look it up on wiki. no idea why you even made this post. all this information is available on wiki or even if you google you can read what DoS and DDoS is.

as about lag, you have to know what you are doing. fibre optic connection upload should do the trick too, by simply killing target's bandwidth by attacking the IP.

Im discussing a software here , its name is LOIC. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LOIC
So i thougth that its allright to post it here. Ofc im also discussing how it works so i believe it should be in both categories.

Also the cmd trick doesnt work if someone has his firewall on right? Because i experienced a bit with it and it seems that it can work sometimes(all people on the server get mid or bad ping) but not always. (Used around 200 cmd windows with -t -l 1472)
