Intercepting Packet and replacing

Hi! I need help with something. I need to intercept a packet that my pc sends when i click CONNECT in a game platform. I am only trying to change a code that the packet sends but this would mean understanding the whole packet. So I sent a packet(with the code I wanna send) from another computer and then saved this packet. But I don't know how I could set things in my computer so that when I click connect my real packets are intercepted and the fake ones are sent. Can anyone help me??

ps: I sure hope the platform doesn't check timestamps!!
