Best antivirus/internet security/anti malware/anti spyware

Post by KEN »

OK so i want to share this information.I m getting a new pc next month and i was very much pissed with the fact that viruses and trojans would piss off the new pc so i did a nice test on my old pc :)
i took many viruses and trojans from different places and copyed them on a pendrive.Next came the best antivirus and other security suite softwares.
I was surprised to know that only 2 passed in cleaning all those viruses.
one was pc tools internet security and the other one was paretologic antivirus plus.
I was not knowing anything about paretologic but my neighbour was using it and he asked me to check it also so that he can know his level of protection.I was not surprised with pc tools as i have used their spyware doctor and other produts and got a nice result but paretologic was like a shock :O
paretologic cleaned not only all of the viruses and trojans but it also used minimum of cpu power so it is like pay minimum of your cpu and get maximum of protection.Result of others was not very bad but still paretologic did really nice job.Now my old pc is also running at a nice never seen before speed so i wonder how much speed will my new pc b getting.
Here are full results:
1>Pareologic antivirus plus ------- 100 % removal (every single bit of malware, spyware, virus, trojan dont stand a chance)
2>Pc tools internet security 2010 ---------- 99 % removal (1% loss was due to its firewall)
3>Webroot and Kaspersky internet security 2010 ------------ both like 95 % (kaspersky have a better firewall whereas webroot malware removal is better)
4>Bit defender total security 2010
5>Eset nod 32 smart security
6>Norton 360 2010
7>Avira antivir 2010
8>Avast (every1 thinks this is nice)
9>AVG :)
10>Zone alarm
and many other below this but y to see others when u know wat the best 1 is ;)
UPDATE The zonealarm i used on test was Zonealarm extreme security,Now i tested zonealarm internet security suite, this is lighter than extreme security but detection is almost equal. The thing better in ZA internet security is that its program control is better than all the others mentioned above,so if u r not a noob and know what program control is and which programs u should "allow" or "deny" then Zonealarm internet security suite is the best choice u hav,but if u r noob or just dont want more notifications,go with other shit.I myself is using zonealarm internet security now and same does sethioz.

ive been using zone alarm internet security suite for years, never had problems.
ofcourse for total idiots it never works, cuz they dont know how to set it up, if it asks what to do and you allow virus/trojan (malware) to connect itself, then it wont help.

its the best, because of the program control, not because of the anti-virus. so use that and for cleaning use ccleaner with all options on (exept size/location cache and wipe free space) and additonally you can use registry mechanic.
keeps my xp clean and fresh all the time, no problems. been running same win for like 6 years, never gets infected or slower.

anti-virus alone is useless, program control is necessary. custom viruses always get past ANY anti-virus, because their sig is not added.
but program control will ask on ANY case if you want to allow this action or not, either internet access, using other programs..etc and ZA also has component control, which goes even deeper than a simple .exe (any executable file).

yes za asks for the permission of allowing or blocking every program even if its exe and so a trojan wont connect to internet and wont damage the pc until some noob allows those viruses.....same feature is with pc tools internet security and u know registry mechanic is also good which belongs to pc tools......pc tools have a higher virus detection than zn and even blocks .exe trojans or programs to execute without your permission so i find pc tools internet security better.....i also use registry mechanic with ccleaner ;D
and also paretologic gives a heart attack when it shows hidden viruses which no other av program shows....and paretologic also takes 4 hours in installation o.o

i think its just conspiracy, if it takes 4 hours, then most likely it will install lot of viruses and then says you have them lol. its very possible btw.
like kazaa (its not AV, its a peer to peer sharing program), it has some built in trojans and viruses, so if you install it, you get infected and then you see their ads "your pc is infected, click here to remove...etc".

you should also try hijackthis, but don't get exited, it is not a anti malware, it simply shows things that other things won't, so if you remove/fix all, you fuck up your pc.

nope it downloads its malware removal database and other stuff cause its setup is not available so u have to download online installer so when download it then it first downloads the av then installs it and at last updates it........btw which version of za r u using? extreme security?
can u give me your key of za so that it makes easier for me to test that product?

yes and it might download updates malware too. anti-malware companys don't really risk to put a real trojan or virus into your pc, but they do add spam bots and such and then a big pop up saying "your computer maybe infected, click here to remove infection". it is very common. im not really a nice person, rather evil than nice, so i can't bother to do research on those anti-malware softwares, but im 100% sure i would find tons of them, that actually downloads and installs malware into your pc that activates few months later.

no, i said zonealarm internet security suite, not extreme and no, i don't want to post my key out in public (its not really mine, but if its in public they may disable it) so just use torrents and download whole package to make sure it works.

I suppose the best AV is KAV. NOD32 is fucking up whole the system and have a LOT of false positives. ZoneAlarm, which using the KAV databases, deleting everything on sight. But KAV is always asking about "not-a-virus" programs - what to do with them - add to exceptions, ignore or delete.
And also, it is mostly free, http://www.computerbild.de/artikel/cb-H ... 82859.html everyone can sign up and gain a licensed key for 3 months. And after 3 months, do it again.

ive got to agree with sethioz about zome alarm. its superior because of the program control.

i used to use AVG but zone alarm seems much better.

i have internet security suite also.
