firefox alone is not the best, this is what most ppl do not understand, if somebody says "firefox is best" then they try and are like WTF its crap, its not the browser that is good, its the compatibility with addons. addons are what makes it perfect and better than any other browser in world.
if you know what addons you need and what makes it good, then its perfect.

yes sure google Chrome is the best browser, when i was using chrome, my internet browsing was running at a lighting speed, i even checked my speed
http://www.ip-details.com/internet-speed-test/
and it was normal subscribed 5Mbps, i was using firefox which chocked my browsing capabilities .
But the only one advantage with firefox is that it has more add ons, which makes things much easier

I'm almost primarily a Firefox user, but I also switch between it and Chrome depending on my needs. Initially I used Firefox almost exclusively because of its addon compatibilities. Addons like AdBlocker Plus, WebDeveloper and Firebug made my day. Since my main introduction (but far from my initial beginnings) into the web began more or less with my first exposure to MySpace, I quickly found myself in need of addons that allowed me to edit HTML and CSS on the fly, which Firefox offered.

Now that those days are behind me I prefer Firefox over Chrome, but only from a purely familiarity standpoint. In a head to head comparison, Chrome is generally the better browser for my needs, but its still not as user modification friendly as Firefox is.

Each browser is good for different things, it just depends on what you are doing. Firefox is great for developers , its open source and provides a rich libaray of extentions for developing /Debugging web apps. My favorite browser was Firefox for a while , i recently switched to opera for a few reasons.
For one it has a built in E-mail client which no other browser has , I find it very useful.
Opera also has a built in Internet Relay Client (IRC) which is nice

im sure firefox ass add-ons that can do that. i dont trust anything else, but firefox. stealther is a MUST HAVE for me. i cant stand some 3rd party sites sticking their cookies in my jar. when i browser without stealther, then after few mins size of cookie folder is like 50mb, which never gets deleted in normal user's computer.

Lately i started using Opera as my primary, because firefox completely fucked up after flash update and it was "forced" update. it kept popping up that annoying fucking crappy notice and it pissed me off so i updated flash and now it keeps crashing like 10 times a day or even more, i mean really it does crash that much, im not overreacting + every time i close / exit firefox, it crashes. ive sent report every time .. no fix.
useless.

i still like firefox, because im so used to it, but mainly because of all the cool plugins / extension.

but reason why im using Opera now, is that it also has some very good extensions, it can also debug a website using "inspect" function, which is really cool.
i also find "Ghostely" very useful, it blocks out 3rd party shit from websites, such as twitter feeds, facebook like things, google analytics..etc, i don't like to be tracked when browsing, so its very handy tool. also it won't allow cookies from those 3rd party sites, but it does allow facebook obviously, just not via other websites, if you go to sethioz.com and you have not configured ghostely to allow them, then my facebook and twitter buttons on main page won't show.

in other words, seems like Opera is almost like firefox now, i haven't digged around much, but im sure it has more cool extensions.
and on top of that, newest firefox is useless, i absolutely hate it, interface is horrible ..etc. im still using version 3 firefox (latest 3). anything later than that, is crap.

First i used Firefox (normal one) because it was way quicker than ie. Then i used chrome cuz it was quicker than firefox. Nowadays im using "nightly" (firefox) because for me it seems to be even quicker than chrome has a better design and ofc more addons aswell. But basicly im only interested in speed.

--> i had the flash shit aswell but now it seems to work somehow...

whenever people say "better browser" they don't usually even know wtf they talking about.

reason why i use firefox, is because of the addons. there is no other browser that can be used to exploit and hack websites. I use firefox to debug websites + all the cool addons that give me so many features that normal people can't even imagine about.

- i can see country flag next to URL so i know where site is hosted
- one click whois search for current domain name
- IP of visiting URL - i can see IP of website i visit
- foxclocks - really cool thing, i can see all the world times using that gadget
- 1 click proxy enabler/disabler/selector - i can easily enable / disable proxy or choose one from list (i use proxies a lot, so its MUST HAVE for me)
- firebug - for debugging websites (dragon fly in opera is similar)
- stealther - blocks everything i don't want. cookies, downloads, history..etc (i only allow downloads and cookies on sites i specify)
- adblocker + popup blocker - must have for me
- drag n drop upload - another must have for me, instead of browsing into my pc, i just drag n drop file i want to upload into upload field on any site and it uploads.
- image scaler - i can scale any image on website, by just right clicking on it and choose from options or use scroll.
- image downloader - another MUST have for me, i can right click download any image (even from websites that won't allow right clicks)
- tempomail - allows me to create "fake" email within few seconds and 2 clicks. makes temporary email that forwards emails to my account for 4h - 1 month time, then it destroys itself. very useful for those RETARDED sites where you just dont want to signup just to get ONE damn file and later they keep on spamming you.
.... and so, so many others that i need.

so basically i still use firefox, but i just use opera for my own stuff, its annoying when firefox crashes when im writing email, or forum post..etc

I installed Chrome and i actually like it, because it has same cool extensions that Opera has.
I still prefer Firefox, because it has unmatched add-ons / extensions, but Opera and Chrome are good for browsing (checking messages, uploading ..etc)
The extensions i use on Opera and Chrome are "Ghostery" and "AdBlock Plus / AdBlock"
there are just must have, apart from that i don't really care about browsers.

There is a conspiracy by google/youtube tho, i noticed that youtube lags when using any other browser than Chrome. i mean not bad, but it is slower. even if i scroll thru videos, other browsers lag. This is NOT because chrome is superiour, it is just a conspiracy and is designed to lag in other browsers.

Anyway, i think that nowdays you can't get along with a single browser anymore, because so many companys put out such retarded conspiracies that fuck you over and force you to use some dumb shit.
I got chrome, because in youtube "custom thumbnail" option is missing and i don't think they plan on "fixing" it, im sure its because im not using chrome. i still haven't tested it, but im sure with chrome its all there.

UPDATE:
Chrome is actually really faster than other browsers, not sure how or why, maybe it has something to do with Chrome taking up 200 - 500mb of RAM
it also has different colors, i mean my website colors don't look exactly same as they are in Opera or Firefox.
I kind a start to like it, but it doesn't have "speed dial" like Opera has, i really like speed dial in opera.
