PC / Laptop temperatures (temps)

Post by Sethioz »

Post your temp readings here and specify if it's laptop or pc and also what cpu, gpu ..etc.

im interested on how hot does quad core CPUs get.
mine is quad core 3.6ghz (phenom II x4) and it's 33C - 54C. i think that 54 is bit too hot, but this is why this topic is here for.

GPU is 47C - 69C (GTX 550Ti). this seems quite fair, some GPUs go over 90C or even higher and shut off.

other temps are irrelevant i guess. HDDs are 26 - 29C

I have a pc with:
Dual core E5200 @2.51Ghz
40C at idle..65C max when gaming.

For a quad core i think 33C - 54C is quite good.If you're talking about AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition, then the maximum operating temp for your cpu is 62C.

My GPU is ati 4350 - 45C at idle.. 70C at load.

I'm using stock cooling WITHOUT any extra fans.

Having a acer one,

i5 480m, 4gb ddr3 (overlocked to 950mhz), gt540m 1gb (overclocked to 799/1598), while idle around 50C, when gamin around 97C(without cooler) ...using a notebook cooler so i can get temperatures around 94C. (If 96 reached --> game crashes, so if oc i need to use the cooler.)

laptops get really hot indeed and most likely shut down after being under stress for a while.
if you care about your laptop, i suggest you get the cooling pad with fans and take off as many covers from bottom as possible.
