recently i have tripped over some threads in steam forums. for example i was looking for a way to disable auto reload in killing floor. and other things like that.
what i have seen, is users who have like 1000 or more posts and they have been banned. why would steam ban them ?
i mean, somebody who is registered since 2004 and has 11000 posts, does NOT post shit on their forum for sure. ppl who are part of community, doesnt ruin it with spam or anything else, in other words ppl like that do not violate their rules.
there must be something going on.
ill contact one of those banned users and see if he replys and tells me why he got banned. i completely understand why they would ban new members who have under 100 posts, but over that, ppl dont do stupid things. if it would be 1 or 2, yes i would understannd too, but i have seen like 20 or more in only few threads.

well i got reply from one of those ppl who got banned on steam forums, he said that he mentioned something about selling steam account, not like saying i want to sell or offering, like theorital quote and he got banned without any warning. they really are stupid kids there.
member with over 10000 posts and registered for over 5 years, if they would have only said "please do not post anything about selling steam accounts at all, not even theorital statements". im sure he would have understood it, in fact i dont think he even violated something on purpose. thats so childish, that steam bans cuz of this.
i will see if i can contact others or get an reply.
UPDATE:
one of the members got banned, because somebody started a thread about modern warfare 2 and said that he bought it, but it turned out to be a disappointment. so that guy just said "you can sell the account if you dont like it" or something like that and he got instant ban for it.
also he told me, that he have mentioned selling few times earlier and nothing happend, no ban, even no warning. must be some retarded moderator who is quite randomly banning for their liking.
