Umm yeah i use chrome, i gotta give it to them, it IS faster. it takes shit loads of RAM (500mb - 1gb), but on SSD it starts within 1 second and it's generally just faster, even tho that cache can be pain in butt sometimes, trying to work on websites .. not so good. When i make changes to site and want to reload EVERYTHING (images, .css styles..etc) it just refuses, so i have to either use the extension called "history eraser" (1 click and cleans everything in 1-2 seconds) or close chrome and run ccleaner, then it reloads everything.

To be honest i like chrome, you must have adblock and ghostery tho. However if i have "evil" things in mind, i use my old good firefox with tons of extensions :)

I use chrome as well but mine is a pretty old version. The only thing I don't like about it is the ram, I have 2gb ram and it alone takes 800mb easily so I am not able to run Photoshop properly along side coz photoshop takes around 1.5gb.

it depends what sites you have open, i think chrome works better, because it allocates more RAM to websites. for example today i was on my netbook, using opera and trying to load up youtube, its DEAD SLOW!
netbook specs are 1.5ghz dual core APU (256mb video ram) and 2gb RAM (memory), it's nearly impossible to browse youtube with that netbook, it's so sluggish and laggy, takes ages to scroll down, i mean the fps lag is unbareable. same for outlook ..etc
so on a good dual-core desktop cpu it works fine probably, but you need 4gb ram or more if you want to run any other apps with it lol.
Chrome takes up about 500mb instantly when booting up and can take like 2-3gb if you have lot of tabs open (haven't tested).

I fucking HATE anything Scroogle related and Chrome is no exception. Why is it the fastest browser? It's because it searches and caches just about everything you type in! Now granted, there are browsers like Firefox which STILL send information to Scroogle, but Chrome is unprecedented because it is a Scroogle browser obviously. It is in fact real hard to not find a browser with some kind of connection to Google.

I usually hate such things, but been using chrome for about 2 years and never had issues with it.
only thing i hate, is that some rare URLs stay in cache/history and i haven't found a way to wipe it. no freaking idea where they are stored. ccleaner wipes everything else, it logs me out of every account, clears history, clears cache, clears downloads ..etc ..etc, but some rare links stay, if i go into google and do a search, then some rare links are still highlighted as "visited". maybe it has nothing to do with chrome, but in other browsers it don't show it, so has to be chrome? or maybe cuz i'm logged into google? if so, why isn't it doing it with other links. that's only confusing thing.

otherwise i like chrome, you just have to optimize and disable the stuff you dont like.

Did you check your registry? I know cookies can be stashed just about anywhere, so maybe malicious tracking cookies have embedded themselves in an obscure part of your partition? I remember even if I delete lsos, cookies can still be found and removed in a malware scan on my drives.

lol no, google chrome would not do this. if it would, it would be same with every website. cookies are not registry based...

I think lsos can pop up just about anywhere. They are flashed based, so are you using any flash videos/games? You mentioned this only happened in Chrome, so maybe it is Chrome. If not, do you have an lso remover for Chrome and Firefox?

You're right, I don't really understand what you are experiencing. However you don't either, I didn't say Flash could remember URLs, I said that perhaps it was the lsos which are flash based. Then they might have stored cache data somewhere. That's the only real educated guess I have. If it isn't that I have no clue what it is. Maybe other than Scroogle having a whitelist in a config file somewhere. I really don't know, as I said, I minimize my use of Scroogle as much as possible.

While this really isn't related to the topic, I'll post this here for FF users who want less Scroogle:

I did those thing a few years ago and it helped.

I just turn content / cache to "keep until i close browser"
turn off "allow background tasks" so chrome exists completes when i hit the X
get extensions such as "ghostery", "adblock", "user agent switcher" and some proxy and screenshot tools.

runs perfectly fine and use ccleaner daily after closing chrome, very little effort for high performance.
